What distracts you from your finanical goals? 2008/08/26 06:17

I noticed last week when I was grocery shopping, that the supermarket really does everything it possibly can to keep me out of my “budget conscious” ways! I’ve recently change my fortnightly grocery shop to monthly (and am saving at least 40%!) and noticed that the trolley’s aren’t big enough to handle this! Is this a way that they can get me to come back?
They’ve also rearranged the entire store! Not only does the shopping take longer (because you’re trying to find everything), it’s really distracting because you see things you may never have seen before and really don’t need to see anyway!
Like the quote implies above, it’s important to remain consistent with your money and your goals. Stay on track, persist and don’t let others try to persuade you off your path!

A great big thank you to the Ipswich City Council for having me out in April to speak with the community about money management. Your Mayor and council are to be congratulated for their wonderful intiatives in your community. I was delighted to be asked to present to you all, it was wonderful to meet so many of you!
Congratulations also to those who "stepped up" and attended the Back to Basics workshop as part of the Money Master Class series.
The GFC, rising interest rates and general cost of living, combined with the floods in January have put some you in difficult circumstances. I trust that you will use the information from the seminars to help you get back on track.
