Well for some of us, relief with interest rates coming down yesterday. The average $300,000 will have around $50 relief each month which isn't a huge amount, but it's something.

I would suggest that you consider continuing to pay the extra amount into your mortgage. You've become accustomed to not having it and it will make a difference to your mortgage over time. It will also help you when interest rates do go back up again.
